About SONUNTHUSA Membership

Hello Great Alums. Please take a moment to read about SONUNTHUSA membership.

1. Whereas every graduate of the school of nursing, university of Nigeria teaching hospital Enugu is an alumna of the great institution – SONUNTH, membership into SONUNTHUSA is Voluntary.

2. SONUNTHUSA is a Professional Service Organization aimed to:
i. Support the faculty and students of SONUNTH Enugu.
ii. Promote nursing education, scholarship and practice globally.

3. SONUNTHUSA initiatives are paid for with the generous donation of its members, family, friends and monies raised during a convention and/or fundraising events.

4. Membership fee is a one-time $100 paid at time of registration.

5. Membership Dues is $100 per year.

6. SOUNTHUSA members engage in nursing professional activities and services individually, in groups and in collaboration with other professional entities. Members take pride volunteering their time, skills and knowledge in the service of humanity.

7. A registered member in good financial standing is eligible to receive benefits as follows:
a. A letter sent on behalf to any entity verifying membership in SONUNTHUSA.
b. Vote in an election or SONUNTHUSA decision.
c. Be nominated and/or elected to an office.
d. Appointed to serve in a committee.
e. Receive tuition discount from any of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses in North America (NANNNA) partner universities.
f. Receive discount to NANNNA conferences.
g. Receive small cash payout taken from the membership dues upon the death of the member, spouse and/or child.
